About Vet Approved Co

Most pet websites are written for American winters and American vets. Vet Approved Co is written for dog owners in Singapore and Malaysia: HDB and condominium rules, AVS and DVS licensing, hawker-table foods, tropical parasites and heat, and what things actually cost here in S$ and RM.

Every guide answers the question you searched in its first sentence, then gives the detail underneath. Facts, prices and rules come from primary sources — veterinary associations, university teaching hospitals, official government pages and named local providers — and every source is listed at the bottom of the page so you can check it yourself.

How a guide is made

• We start from what people search, not from what is easy to write.
• We distinguish official fees and rules from planning estimates. Update dates record content changes; completed source checks and named veterinary reviews are labelled separately.
• Medical guidance follows published veterinary references (VCA, Merck Veterinary Manual, AAHA, WSAVA). We do not diagnose; we tell you how urgently to see a vet.
• Local rules come from AVS, NParks, HDB, DVS, MAQIS and municipal councils — never from forums.

What we are not

We are not a veterinary practice, and nothing here is a diagnosis. Our name does not mean that every guide has veterinary approval; a verified review must identify the reviewer and review date. When a guide touches on symptoms or treatment, its job is to help you decide how urgently you need a real vet — not to replace one.
