Puppy vaccination scheduler

Puppies need three DHPP doses between 6 and 16 weeks, deworming every two weeks until 12 weeks and then monthly, and a booster at 12–16 months — with rabies added in Malaysia. Enter your puppy's date of birth and the calculator turns that into real dates you can put in your calendar or print for the vet.

How this tool works

The schedule is the standard core series in our puppy vaccination and deworming guides, aligned with WSAVA guidance: DHPP at 6–8, 10–12 and 14–16 weeks, optional leptospirosis and Bordetella from the second visit, and an adult booster at 12–16 months. Deworming follows the usual 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12-week doses then monthly prevention. Singapore has been rabies-free since 1953, so rabies appears only for Malaysia unless you plan to travel.

Dates are date-of-birth plus the schedule week; breeders often give the first doses, so treat the printout as the plan to confirm against the vaccination card, not a replacement for it. The 16-week DHPP dose is the one that reliably takes, because maternal antibodies can neutralise earlier doses.

Frequently asked questions

When can my puppy go outside?

Carry your puppy out from day one and let it meet vaccinated adult dogs and attend classes that check vaccine records. Avoid dog parks, pet-shop floors and ground where unknown dogs toilet until about two weeks after the final DHPP dose. The socialisation window closes around 14 weeks, so waiting indoors creates fearful adult dogs.

What vaccines do puppies need in Singapore?

Core: DHPP (distemper, adenovirus, parvovirus, parainfluenza) as a three-dose series. Rabies is not required in Singapore. Leptospirosis is increasingly recommended in the tropics, and Bordetella is required by most daycares and boarding kennels.

What vaccines do puppies need in Malaysia?

The same DHPP series plus rabies, which is standard practice in Malaysia and free at DVS clinics. Leptospirosis is worth discussing given monsoon-season exposure to rat urine in standing water.
